Comfort is provided by the high-quality induction braking system and the precision ball bearing, which ensures an especially even, jerk-free and smooth rotation.
Workout intensity can be precisely set between 25 and 400 Watts, compliant with the DIN EN 957 standard. Several variants also offer heart rate-controlled workout programs. Personal training parameters, such as individual maximum and minimum heart rates, can also be adjusted. In this case, heart rate is displayed as a percentage of maximum, which is ideal for those training with specific guidelines. The ergometer allows you to switch up your routine by offering 12 resistance profiles and 4 heart rate-controlled programs (55%, 75%, 95% and customizable). Heart rate is conveniently measured via the ear clip (included) or the integrated heart rate receiver for the chest strap (optional).
All workout parameters are clearly presented on the high-quality blue backlight display. At the end of the workout, all training parameters plus averages are displayed. It permanently displays 8 sets of data, including: distance, time, calories burned, speed, step frequency, intensity, and pulse. 12 intensity profiles and 4 pulse programmes provide for optimal exercise variety. You can enter a certain Watt or pulse value and your ergometer will independently control the resistance in order maintain this value. The RPM-independent resistance control can be set to one of 40 levels between 25 and 400 Watts (meets DIN EN 957 – 1/5 standard). Other premium features: Recovery heart rate measurement with fitness marks, Drink-Fit programme, and 4+1 person memory for the entire family.

In order to provide enough fun and variety, the Varon XTR is equipped with various goal options and a total of 12 intensity profiles. In addition, 4 pulse-controlled programmes can be used for training. You can either set your own individual maximum heart rate or exercise with a pre-set percentage of your maximum pulse (55%, 75% and 90%). Pulse can also be measured via ear clip (included) or telemetrically via a chest strap (optional).

Ergometer Varon XTR training tips
When beginning your training, start with a low intensity level at which you could still hold a conversation comfortably. This brief warm-up should take 5-10 minutes to allow your body to prepare for the increases stress. Then increase the resistance by about 30% and train at this base level for another 30-40 minutes. Depending on how good you feel, you can set a small intensity spike every five minutes and set to extremely high resistance for 30-60 seconds. In this way, you can temporarily increase your pulse and improve your body's physiological regulation mechanisms. Subsequently, immediately return to your base level. End your workout with a little cool-down, also at lower intensity, for another 5-10 minutes.
